Mission Trips

Dahlonega, GA - Junior/Senior High (ages 12+)
Jul 15-21, 2007
Blue Ridge Mountain

Community Description:
Once, the mountainsides around Dahlonega echoed with the sounds of prosperity as fortunes were made overnight during the first American gold rush. But the mines played out, and the miners—with their money—left town. Today, while downtown has been beautifully preserved, the prosperity of the past has escaped many within this picturesque community. An elderly widow risks a crippling fall every time she struggles up her rickety steps. A single mom and her kids live in shame because they cannot afford to restore their eyesore of a home. A child shivers in a drafty room. This summer, feel God's love come alive as you reach out to someone in need with your hands...as well as your heart.

Camp Capacity:400

Lodging:
During camp week, you'll be staying in a local school. Sleeping in classrooms. Eating in the cafeteria. Participating in camp-wide worship programs in the gymnasium, if available, or other large common area. PLEASE, make sure everyone in your group brings a swimming suit to be prepared for any showering situation.

Mission Trip 2006
Reserve, Louisiana

July 9-14, 2006 - Hurricane Recovery
We traveled to New Orleans,
helping people in desperate need.
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita caused a
natural disaster like this country
has never witnessed.
Flood waters ravaged through
New Orleans…leaving thousands
homeless. The recovery will take years
as people begin to rebuild their lives.
