Brad Nye, Director of Contemporary
Music Ministries brad@theprairie.org
Brad has traveled many different roads in his 30
year love affair with music. The son of a minister, Brad grew-up singing and
playing in the church. After 2 years of Jr. college, majoring in music, Brad
moved to Hollywood, CA. to attend "The
Musicians Institute of Technology". While there, he met Eddie
Van Halen and was hired as assistant tour manager for the bands 1983-84
tour. Brad continued in production the following year,1985, working for Hall &
Oates in New York City.
In 1986, Brad moved home to Chicago to start his own rock band called, "Dick
Holliday and the Bamboo Gang". They soon became Chicago's #1 party band playing
200 shows a year.
Brad pursued this path for six years with big plans to "Make It"! He realized
he was standing on a foundation of sand that was about to crumble. Brad found
himself kneeling at the foot of The Cross and at forty years of age he read
"Psalm 40" asking the Lord for forgiveness of his sin.
Today, The Lord has put a new song in Brad's heart. His favorite things to do
are pray and sing praises to God. So, we invite you to join Brad in singing and
giving thanks to the Lord of life! You can learn more about Brad's music
ministry by visiting
